Tens of thousands of people could become victims of such liberation. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can liberate occupied cities of Donbas, but they do not do so because of the potentially large human casualties.
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov made this statement.
He urged Ukrainians not to defame their own army, expressing his conviction that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are 100% ready to defend us.
He also confirmed that if necessary, the Ukrainian army can liberate the occupied cities, but the cost of such a decision is extremely high.
