President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that a meeting in the Normandy format will take place, but now it all depends on Russia.

He said this at a press conference within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. Decentralization” on July 28, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I once again confirm our readiness for negotiations in the Normandy format, and I believe that this meeting will take place. But today it all depends on Russia,” the president said.

According to him, Ukraine, for its part, is making progress on this issue “not quickly, but as soon as possible.”

As Ukrinform reported, during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on July 12, President Zelensky said that he considered it necessary to put pressure on the Russian Federation in order to hold the next meeting of the leaders of the Normandy format countries and end the military conflict in eastern Ukraine.
