A new rating of Internet freedom has been published. Of the 70 countries surveyed, Russia ranked 57th (coefficient of freedom 0.30). Russia was behind Sudan (0.33), Rwanda (0.38), Bangladesh (0.40), Iraq (0.41) and other countries. Belarus is one step higher than Russia, it is 56th (coefficient of freedom 0.31).

The freest Internet is in Iceland (0.96) and Estonia (0.94).The situation is difficult in China (0.10), Iran (0.16) and Myanmar (0.17).

For comparison, in 2018 Russia was in 54th place (with a coefficient of 0.33), Belarus – in 46th (0.36).
