
Ukraine took part in a meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council’s Armaments Committee – the Conference of National Armaments Directors.
The partner countries discussed issues related to innovation in the field of defense technology, transformation in cooperation with science and the defense industry and achieving the optimal ratio of military needs and budgetary capabilities.
According to preliminary information, the meeting is held to develop the agreements reached during the meeting of defense ministers of NATO member states on October 21. Allied defense ministers agreed on a plan of action in response to the growing threat from Russia’s missile systems. In addition, following this meeting, the Secretary General of the Alliance stated that NATO is assessing how to strengthen its position in the Black Sea region.
The parties agreed to cooperate in providing compatible military capabilities in the field of armaments in order to improve the effectiveness of NATO forces.
