Two Russian paratroopers were killed during a troop rollover at the Gozhsky training ground in the Grodno district in western Belarus. This is reported by Bypol.

“During the landing of Russian airborne troops at Gozhsky range in Grodno district, two paratroopers fell down with the extinguishing of the canopy of one of the parachutes,” reads the report.

As a result of the accident, two members of the Russian armed forces – an officer and a conscript – were killed.

The number of Russian paratroopers participating in the exercise was not reported in the Belarusian Defense Ministry. However, given that we are talking about a “battalion tactical group”, we are probably talking about hundreds of military personnel.

Earlier, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reported that on November 12, a paratrooper force of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Armed Forces has landed near Grodno. The Russian military was also joined by a tactical landing force of the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces. The report described it as “a test of one of the components of the Union State’s response forces”.
