One of the largest air shows, Dubai Air Show 2021, has ended in the UAE, the results of which can already be safely summed up, focusing on favorites and outright outsiders.
For example, Airbus has received orders for 408 aircraft. In turn, Boeing has signed contracts for 101 aircraft, also amounting to billions of dollars.
But we wonder how much Russia could help out. After all, it invested enormous funds in her exposition, brought a model of the Checkmate fighter, as well as aircraft “capable of flying” – MS-21, Sukhoi Superjet 100, Su-30SM, etc.
Russia was able to conclude contracts and agreements worth $ 1.3 billion. It sounds good, but, just for understanding, it’s like 10 Airbus planes…
But, importantly, no one showed interest in the flightless, but “unparalleled in the world” Checkmate fighter with “amazing” characteristics. A stunning commercial was shot for the fighter, in whose honor the perfume was released, but, again, which does not fly…
Meanwhile, the Russian media, following the results of the Dubai Air Show 2021, report a certain furor and success. “Checkmate to His Highness. It is these headlines that are now in the news feeds of the Russian Internet. But, for some reason, few of the authors of these materials dare to tell the truth, namely, that Airbus and Boeing are looking at the Russian “sensation” as a kind of nonsense.
