A delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) visited two newly opened facilities in the Donetsk Oblast coast city of Mariupol.

Nursery №106 now has an inclusive group of 25 children, two of whom have special educational needs. The two-storey building was completely refurbished, with the replacement of heating, ventilation, water supply and sewerage systems.

The second project involved major repairs to Livoberezhnyi social rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities. The overhaul of the centre has more than doubled its capacity, from 80 children with disabilities aged two to 14 per year, to up to 200 children with disabilities aged from under one to 18 per year.

These projects implemented by UNDP were jointly funded by the EIB under the Ukraine Early Recovery Programme, which provided around €2.5 million.
