Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson have declared their full political support for Ukraine. According to Polskie Radio, this was discussed during a meeting of the heads of government in London.

“We have expressed our full political support for Ukraine, its integrity, bearing in mind the need for joint elaboration of de-escalation mechanisms,” Morawiecki stressed.

He added that information coming from various sources indicated the formation of Russia’s large military resources around Ukraine.

As known, U.S. President Joe Biden plans to discuss with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Russia Vladimir Putin the issue of building up Russian troops near the Ukrainian borders.

When Biden was asked about Zelensky’s statement about the disclosure of a conspiracy to organise a coup d’etat in Ukraine with the participation of Russian citizens, he said, “I am concerned. We support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

On Friday, 26 November, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan had a phone conversation with Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak regarding Russian troops on the Ukrainian border. The parties agreed to coordinate diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.

In addition, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that Russia’s aggressive actions in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, the build-up of Russian troops near Ukraine’s borders, and steps to strengthen security had been topics for conversation between the Ukrainian and Canadian diplomats.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba received assurances from his Canadian counterpart Melanie Joly of unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

At the same time, at a briefing in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to reduce tensions at the borders and stressed that in the event of the use of force against Ukraine, Russia would “have consequences.”

“We see large and unusual concentration of forces – and this is the second time this year… We see heavy weapons, tanks, drones, along with combat-ready troops. The increase in the number of troops has not been provoked or explained… There is no certainty about Russia’s intentions, but we have seen that Russia used military force against Ukraine earlier, when it occupied Crimea and destabilised Donbas. Added to this are the ongoing cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns,” Stoltenberg said.

He also said that NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs will meet next week to discuss Russia’s build-up of troops in Ukraine and near its borders.
