In the capital of Tatarstan, local law enforcement officers detained the rector of the Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov.

The investigative actions against Gafurov may be related to the contract murder case, that was committed in the 1990s.

According to another version, the rector could have been detained in connection with a corruption case and embezzlement of federal budget funds. It is reported that the arrest of Gafurov took place on December 21. According to some sources, he could have been taken to Moscow.

It seems strange that such a distinguished scientist is suspected in murder in the “dashing 90s”? Maybe this is due to the fact that he does not agree with the totalitarian policy of Putin? The more such dissent people, the greater the danger for the Putin regime.
