The controversial head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has once again made an outrageous statement. He said that Ukraine “needs to be annexed to Russia” if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues his anti-Kremlin policy.

Kadyrov spoke about this at a press conference in Grozny. He complained that he was ready to “solve the Ukrainian problem” but was not allowed to do so.

“I am deeply convinced that if Zelenskyy and his team behave like this, Ukraine should be annexed to our country. Ukrainians are our people, this is our territory. This is my opinion,” he asserted defiantly. The head of Chechnya also stressed that he himself is ready “to solve the Ukrainian problem”. However, so far he has not received any such instructions.

It turns out that such sick ideas have been in Kadyrov’s head for a long time. He admitted that after Russia occupied the Ukrainian Crimea, he suggested that Putin should “take Kyiv too”.
