The battle of Donetsk Airport is one of the most tragic, yet legendary episodes of Russia’s war in Donbas. The battle was unprecedentedly tight, with brutal face-to-face fighting over nearly every room and hall of the airport’s two terminals.
“Defenders of Donetsk airport have demonstrated the historical inviolability of the Cossack fighting spirit of our modern army. “Cyborgs have become stronger than the concrete floor of the Donetsk airport terminal,” the Defense Ministry’s remind.
