Russia-backed terrorists cynically violate ceasefire agreements in Donbas. On 31 January, they shelled the outskirts of Svitlodarsk. A local resident was injured. This was reported by the Joint Forces Operation headquarters.
The Russian-occupying forces launched an attack at around 11:30. They opened fire with small arms from the direction of the temporarily occupied village of Lozove.
Occupiers fired five bursts of automatic weapons. A 68-year-old man from Svitlodarsk was injured as a result of the enemy attack. He suffered a gunshot wound to the soft tissues of his right thigh.
He was fishing near the Vuglegirsk water reservoir when the occupants began shelling. The Ukrainian Armed Forces promptly transported the man to the Svitlodarsk city hospital.
“The invaders once again openly demonstrated their disregard for the Minsk agreements and confirmed their cynical and indifferent attitude towards the lives and health of civilians in Donbas,” the JFO headquarters stressed.
