Twenty-seven people were killed in a road accident in Rivne region as a bus, a fuel truck, and a passenger car collided.

“Police investigators found remains of 27 bodies … in a terrible road accident in Rivne region,” Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the interior minister of Ukraine, posted on Telegram.

Out of 38 bus passengers, only 12 survived. A driver of the fuel truck also survived, now he is in critical condition, Gerashchenko added.

“The 27th victim is the driver of a Mercedes Vito minibus who, according to the preliminary version, was the culprit of the largest tragedy on Ukrainian roads over the past decade,” the minister’s adviser noted.
