Germany has not delivered to Ukraine any heavy weapons. At the same time, the government is preparing to put howitzers and self-propelled anti-aircraft systems in Ukraine.
According to him, as of the 105th day of Russia’s war against Ukraine, no units of heavy equipment – artillery, howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles, tanks – were delivered to Ukraine from Germany.
At the same time, Melnyk noted that in the near future the German government plans to fulfill some of its promises to supply heavy weapons.
“7 self-propelled howitzers that will be handed over to us – we will receive these systems sometime on June 22; and self-propelled anti-aircraft systems, the so-called “cheetahs.” This is also an old weapon – 30 units, “he said.
The Ambassador says that 15 “Cheetahs’ Ukraine should receive by the end of July, 15 more by the end of August. And stresses that only two decisions from all announced by the German government are now in the stage of implementation.
