
In Canada, they organized a fundraiser for the Bayraktar strike drone for the Ukrainian army. The same meetings were previously held in Lithuania, Poland and in Ukraine.
The collection was started by the NGO UHelpUkraine.
In total, they plan to raise 7 million Canadian dollars (160 million hryvnia).
“With the help of the Ukrainian-Canadian community and all those who support the struggle of Ukraine against tyranny, we can contribute to real change and help our heroes return home,” the description of the meeting says.
Volunteers want to transfer the purchased drone by Independence Day – August 24. Currently, C $12,450 has been raised.
UHelpUkraine was created in Canada after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. A team of volunteers collects donations in Canada and organizes the transportation of essential goods through Poland to Ukraine.
