Estonian Foreign Minister Lauri Läänemets called the monument “a symbol of an aggressive state” that should be “moved elsewhere.

He does not care about the dissatisfaction of residents and Tallinn city hall because “the Estonian state should deal with military symbols”.

▪️The Soviet T-34-85 in Narva is the last monument to the famous tank in Estonia.

▪️It was erected at the site where Soviet soldiers broke through the Nazi defenses and liberated the city in 1944.

▪️Even in June, Narva’s residents and city hall opposed the demolition of the monument, saying that the tank was not Estonia’s main problem at all.
