The home army soldiers in Surkonty, Voronovsky district, was destroyed, the unregistered Union of Poles in Belarus reports, citing an eyewitness.
According to the union, the roads to the burial site are blocked by the police, local residents who want to take a photo are not allowed to the cemetery.

Recently, several burial places of Polish soldiers have been destroyed in Belarus. Cases are known in the villages of Bogdany, Bobrovychi, Dyndylishki, Mikulishki, Kachichi, as well as in Ivye. Poland regards these actions as a deliberate action to further worsen relations between Poland and Belarus.

Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Łukasz Jasyna called the destruction of the graves an act of barbarism.
“Those who think that it is possible to eradicate people’s memory of heroes are very mistaken. The regime will pay for these acts of barbarism,” he wrote.
