The Belgian federal government will approve a new military aid package for Ukraine to counter military aggression by Russia.

This was announced by Belgian Defence Minister Ludivine Dedonder.
The minister said that after already providing Kiev with 45m euros in military aid, Belgium would this time provide a 12m euros package, which would include the supply of large-calibre machine guns and ammunition.

She noted that Belgium is ready to assist in sea and land demining. For this purpose training of Ukrainian servicemen was carried out.
Belgium hosted in its medical institutions 45 wounded at the front and seriously ill Ukrainians, added the head of the Belgian defense ministry.
