Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the aggressor country Russia is committing genocide against Ukrainians and should be held accountable.

“Russia is committing genocide and must be brought to justice,” he wrote on Twitter.

The minister added that he welcomed the European Parliament resolution on human rights violations, the forced deportation of Ukrainians and the forced adoption of Ukrainian children in Russia.

“It clearly states that the latter is a violation of the UN Genocide Convention,” he said.

On Thursday, September 15, the European Parliament adopted a resolution demanding that the aggressor country Russia immediately stop all forced removals of Ukrainian citizens to Russia and its occupied territories.

The European Parliament condemned the atrocities committed by the Russian Armed Forces, their accomplices and the occupation authorities in Ukraine.
