After Ukraine’s victory in the war unleashed by Russia, democratic countries must prevent the recurrence of such events, break the closed circle of Russian aggression, and strengthen Ukraine’s security.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg today in Helsinki during a speech at the Northern Summit of SAMAK (Social Democratic Parties and Trade Union Movements in the Northern Countries – ed.), Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We don’t know when this war will end. But when that happens, we have to make sure that history doesn’t happen again. President Putin cannot continue to cheat European security. We must break this cycle of Russian aggression. This means that we should provide Ukraine with the opportunity to deter the aggressor and defend against aggression in the future. We have to create long-term commitments for the security of Ukraine. Because the future of Ukraine is in the Euro-Atlantic family,” Stoltenberg stressed.
